Business Services

EDSI acts as a liaison between One-Stops and area employers to provide Business Services.  We assist businesses with job postings and pre-screening and increase their awareness of One-Stop services such as On-the-Job Training.  We provide services to Employers in three categories:
Employer Contact - Developing and maintaining relationships with employers
Employer Service - Providing information or products to employers
Employer Feedback - Completing the communication loop to the One-Stops

Employer Contact:

  • Face-to-face contact with employers
  • Generation of new job orders
  • Development of long-term, constructive employer relationships
  • Services to targeted employers or employer groups identified by the One-StopOperator
  • Marketing of existing One-Stop services that include Employer Upgrade Training or other Incumbent Worker training
  • Job task analysis and skill gap analysis to help employers better define their needs
  • Identification of career ladders within targeted industries or selected employers to improve opportunities for developing job leads
  • Investigation of situations of high turnover and assist employers with this issue
 
Employer Service:
 
  • Referral of employers to existing business community resources
  • Assistance to employers on retention, training, outplacement, labor market information and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with other business resource organizations in the community to share information on available services with employers
  • Identification of training opportunities and resources from equipment manufacturers, vendors, employer associations, educational and training institutions and other sources
  • Brokering of On-the-Job (OJT) agreements with employers
  • Development of industry partnerships and supplementing existing research on industries and industry trends
  • Meetings with One-Stop Employer Services team and all One-StopJob Development staff to ensure coordination of employer outreach

  • Employer Customer Satisfaction Surveys
  • Program performance and reporting
  • Career coaching and ongoing support
  • Reports on business/industry intelligence and real-time labor market information
  • Active participation in the One-Stop staff credentialing process
